"Climate stripes" graphics show U.S. trends by state and county
These graphics turn climate data into rows of colored stripes that show yearly temperature and precipitation from 1895–2020 compared to the 20th-century average—red bars for warm years, and blue for cool ones; green for wet years, and brown for dry ones.
- Click a location, then scroll in the pop-up to see the temperature image.
- Click the small gray arrow at the right of the temperature image to see the precipitation image.
